Arcadia Schools

The Arcadia Unified School District (AUSD) is nationally recognized as an excellent district. Eleven schools serving 9,807 students comprise the district. The U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools evaluated 19,000 high schools and gave AUSD a Gold Medal three years in a row (2012, 2013 and 2014). Arcadia High’s 2014 graduates had an average GPA of 3.34, average SAT of 1846 and 94 percent of graduates planned to attend college.  In addition to all of the accomplished athletic teams, there are 50 academic clubs or teams at the high school. Exceptional achievements abound. Juniors Hanah Lee, Jeffrey Wang and Titus Wu scored a perfect 2400 on their SAT tests. Truly amazing! Recently 1.6 million SAT tests were taken with only 360 perfect scores.

Arcadia High had three perfect scores! After taking 2nd place in their state championship the Constitution team competed in the national finals in Washington, D.C. The History Bowl team qualified for its national championship. The Ocean Sciences team competed in Mississippi in a national tournament. The Quiz Bowl team participated in the national tournament in Chicago. The team earned first place out of the 272 best teams from all over the U.S and Canada! Two Destination Imagination teams are competing in the Global Finals in Knoxville. The National Science Bowl team won the Regional at JPL and earned a spot among 16 finalists from across the country. Phillip Rocha became the third Arcadia Cross Country runner to win an individual state title. Later, after finishing 11th in the entire country at the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Rocha won the USA T & F Junior Olympic National Championship, 15-16 age bracket in Myrtle Beach.

Why are Arcadia schools so highly thought of? Dedicated teachers, administrators and school staff, nurturing parents, supportive community and hard working, focused students.

Our excellent schools are a primary contributor to Arcadia home values.
